A Mother’s Knee 5-13-2018

It’s been said that “Virtues are learned at mother’s knee; vices at some other joint.” What do you get when you grow up at mother’s knee?

* There is contemplation at mother’s knee – instruction (Ex. 2:9-10)

* There is communion at mother’s knee – communion with God (I Sam. 1 & 2)

* There is care at mother’s knee – moms care for their children (I Sam. 1:20-23)

* There is comfort at mother’s knee – mom is a place of refuge (II Kings 4:20)

* There is counsel at mother’s knee – wisdom and direction (Prov. 6:20-23)

* There is correction at mother’s knee – often over mother’s knee (Prov. 22:15)

* There is cheer at mother’s knee – love and safety and happiness (Isa. 66:12)

Mother’s knee is a great place to grow up! Thank God for your mother’s knee.
