It’s Graduation Season. Ceremonies are popping up all over, and they are producing some interesting story lines. Paul Grois received his diploma two years late…because he was in a coma on the day he was supposed to graduate from Chesterfield County Community High School. His doctors doubted he would live, but two years later, he crossed the stage on his own and walked into a future a lot of people didn’t believe he had.
In a sense, that’s what Graduation is all about – not comas in particular, but moving forward with the rest of your life, which is why we call it “Commencement”. It’s a strong step into the future.
For believers, every Graduation involves a question of a different kind: What does God have for me from here on out? How can I use the gifts, talents and training I’ve received to serve the Lord Jesus? Grads, is that question on your minds?
Congratulations to Ja’el Clark, Caitlyn Delmonico, Holly & Aleya Varnum!
